I am brand new to rowing, can I come to Rebel?
Yes! We'd love to introduce you to the rower! Come early to class and we will make sure you're ready to row. Or come to our FREE learn-to-row class, “concepts” and you'll be fully versed on the ins and outs of the erg.
I'm a woman, will lifting weights make me “larger” or “bulky”?
Absolutely not. Weight training is an integral part of any woman's program, and building muscle is the most effective and sustainable way of boosting your metabolism to burn more fat. If you truly want to “tone” and “sculpt”, legitimate weight training along with high intensity cardio (rowing!) is the proven method.
Will I be the only new person in class?
Definitely not! Our classes are designed to appeal to new and veteran rowers alike, and our instructors will make sure that you feel supported as you gain more confidence on the rower.
DOES REBEL OFFER PRIVATE TRAINING?

What should I wear to class?
While you are welcome to wear anything that you feel most comfortable in, we find that form-fitting clothing doesn’t get in the way of the rower like looser options do. AND SHOES. You must wear shoes.
HOW OLD IS TOO OLD FOR ROWING AT REBEL?
THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT FOR OUR CLASSES! ROWING IS A LOW-IMPACT WORKOUT SUITED TO ALL AGES, AND WE HAVE MANY CLIENTS WORKING THROUGH LIMITATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS THAT HAVE FOUND ROWING TO BE VERY ACCOMMODATING AND EFFECTIVE.
I'M PREGNANT, CAN I ROW?
YES! ROWING IS A SAFE FORM OF EXERCISE FOR EXPECTING MOTHERS, AND MANY WOMEN FIND THAT REGULAR AND STRUCTURED EXERCISE HELPS THEM TO COPE WITH MANY OF THE STRESSES THAT COME ALONG WITH PREGNANCY. OUR INSTRUCTORS WILL BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE ALTERNATIVES TO ANY OF THE MOVEMENTS IN CLASS, SO PLEASE LET THEM KNOW THAT YOUR ARE PREGNANT BEFORE CLASS BEGINS.
I'm overweight, can I row?
Absolutely! Rowing is a fantastic way to exercise in a way that is joint friendly and incredibly effective! If weight loss is a goal of yours, rowing can be an important piece of that puzzle.
How do I book a class or session?
We do all of our booking online through mindbody. Please follow the link at the top of our website, or through the mobile mindbody app.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you can't make it to a class or session that you have scheduled, we kindly ask that you give us a 24 hour notice to cancel your spot. Seats in class and places in sessions are limited, and late canceling prevents us from filling that spot with someone that may be waiting. For training sessions, a late cancel is 3 hours or less prior to the session start time. THis will result in being charged for the session. of course there are always exceptions, please contact us with questions.
What is your autopay cancellation policy?
We require at least 30 days notice to cancel your autopay option. Notice given past the 30 day mark will push the cancellation back to the next billing cycle.
Can I put my autopay on hold for work or medical reasons?
Yes, please contact Rebel for a hold form at least one week before the hold needs to begin. If you are unable to give the week notice, and your autopay has already been billed, we will issue a credit.
Does Rebel give a student discount?
Damn right we do. 10% off.
DO YOU HAVE LOCKER ROOMS?
WE HAVE BATHROOMS, changing rooms AND LOCKERS BUT WE DO NOT HAVE SHOWER FACILITIES.
DO YOU have childcare?
WE do not but children that are old enough or young enough to be unattended are more than welcome at rebel. We have benches located in the front and back of the gym which are in plain view of training or rowing. Children are not allowed on the equipment due to liability reasons.
can rowing and training packages be split?
WE DO NOT split packages among friends. Please contact us about splitting packages among family members.
